So Google is giving all homeless people in San Francisco a permanent phone number and voice mail. Good for giving people a contact number when looking for work.

Free as in free

Chris Anderson (he of thelongtail) talking on the subject of his article in the march issue of Wired. I really believe a lot of things will heading this way. Especially more free things paid for by advertising. Kinda like the olden days but better. Free phones, free wireless, free coffee, free travel, free beer. Sure you will see ads here and there, but you will choose the ads. These are my brands, these are my ads. It could even be done by category. Car companies, you have two weeks to convince me then after that it’s adios or another five years.
